The assistants’ role is vital and important!

So, you’re thinking about assisting? YAY! Assisting is not only a rewarding experience because you get to serve the students and the mission of Discover Magnificence, it is also fulfilling because you will have an opportunity to deepen your own learning. As you learned in your course and the courses you may have assisted in the past, personal development is an ongoing, life-long endeavor.

Assistants play a supportive and essential role in each course.

While the role includes a variety of responsibilities, the most important part is the ability to hold space and be emotionally available for the students. Assistants are trusted to speak from intuition and to show compassion without judgment, helping create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, supported, and inspired to grow.

After completing your first course as a student and attending the mandatory Zoom Assistant Training Workshop, you will be eligible to serve as an Assistant in future courses. For all Assistants, the DM retreat begins on Thursday evening, with a gathering designed to connect and settle into the experience. Friday is a full day of training that provides the tools needed to be the powerful Assistant you aspire to be, while also deepening connection and community.

To assist, you must be able to commit fully to the program schedule and responsibilities. This includes arriving at the workshop location on Thursday evening, being present for the Assistant Training on Thursday night and Friday, attending every session on time, staying until the end of the course (approximately 6pm on Sunday), and fulfilling all assigned tasks and duties.
